The purchasing division is responsible either directly or through delegation of authority, for the purchase or contracting of all materials, supplies, equipment and contractual services needed by any and all departments of the City. The purchasing manager reports to the general services director. The duty of the purchasing manager is to assure that the division's responsibilities are carried out in compliance with policies and state statutes.
