BALLOT DRAWING HELD FOR AT-LARGE COUNCIL CANDIDATES
(March 5, 2024)
MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The ballot is set for the candidates running for the vacant at-large seat on the Midland City Council.
A drawing was held Tuesday at City Hall, and the ballot positions will include:
- First position: James R. “Bull” Henry,
- Second position: Eric Davidson,
- Third position: John Burkholder,
- Fourth position: Cheston Blank,
- Fifth position: Ben Roberts.
Monday was the last day a candidate could file for the May 4, 2024, special election.
The winner of the special election will serve the remainder of the at-large term, which ends in January 2025. Should that person seek to serve as an-large council representative for another term, he would be required to run for office again in November.
There will be seven days of early voting for the May 4 election (April 22-26, 2024, and April 29-30, 2024), according to Midland County Elections Office. Early voting will take place at the Midland County Elections Office, 2110 N. “A” St.
The filing period ran from Feb. 13, 2024, to March 4, 2024.
