AIRLINE PASSENGERS AT MIDLAND INTERNATIONAL AIR & SPACE PORT TOPS 60,000 IN APRIL

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The number of airline passengers at Midland International Air & Space Port soared in April.
Passengers boarding Southwest, United, American Eagle and Delta surpassed 60,000 during the month of April for the first time going back to at least 2010.
The 61,199 passengers represented an 18.44% increase compared to April 2023 and moved fiscal year-to-date numbers 11.97% higher than one year ago.
Southwest Airlines carried the largest share of revenue passengers, with around 45.9% of the total in April.
City officials also reported that parking revenue at Midland International Air & Space Port increased 22.37% in April (compared to April 2023). Net parking revenue topped $700,000 and increased the fiscal year-to-date total to $4.584 million, a 15.75% increase compared to the first seven months of FY 2023.
