MPD: CRASH ON WADLEY AVENUE SENDS MIDLAND MAN TO HOSPITAL

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- Midland Police responded to a crash at 11:48 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 12, 2024) that sent a 77-year-old Midland man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Midland Police reported that a 2000 Mazda B-series pickup -- driven by James Holman Jr. -- was stopped (facing south) in the 3300 block of Mark Lane. That is when Holman, according to MPD’s report, failed to yield the right of way to a 2024 Freightliner M2 traveling west on Wadley Avenue and the two vehicles collided in the intersection.
Holman “sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision and was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital,” MPD reported. “The driver of (the freightliner) sustained no injuries in the collision and was released on scene.”
The investigation is ongoing.
