COLLISION NEAR MIDLAND PARK MALL KILLS MOTORCYCLIST

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- At 6:41 p.m. Tuesday (March 11, 2025), Midland Police and Fire responded to a collision at Midkiff Road and Moss Avenue near Midland Park Mall.
Preliminary reports indicated a black 2020 Chevrolet Blazer was in the turning lane, preparing to turn left into the mall parking lot, when a 2025 Kawasaki Motorcycle — “reportedly traveling at extreme and dangerous speeds while maneuvering through traffic” — collided with the Blazer as the turn was initiated, according to MPD.
The operator of motorcycle, 18-year-old Kaden Ray Barron of Midland County, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Midland Fire Department personnel. Next of kin has been notified.
The investigation remains ongoing. Further details will be released as they become available.
