Midland Police Investigate Shooting at Local Apartment Complex
On August 5, 2025, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Midland Police Department responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the courtyard of the Renew Midland Apartment Complex, located at 516 N. Loop 250.
Upon arrival, officers contacted several witnesses and began an on-scene investigation. Through their initial efforts, officers identified the suspects as residents of the complex. The individuals had fled the area before officers arrived.
Shortly after, the Odessa Police Department contacted Midland Dispatch regarding a male juvenile gunshot victim who had arrived at Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim informed officers that he had been shot in Midland at the Renew Midland Apartment Complex and identified the suspect.
Midland Police secured the scene and obtained a search warrant for the suspects’ apartment. The warrant was executed, resulting in the recovery of a firearm and additional evidence potentially related to other criminal activity.
