Transfers, adoptions dwarf euthanasia totals in November

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The number of animals adopted from Midland Animal Services and transferred in November was more than three times those euthanized, according to MAS’ monthly record card.
There were 105 animals (dogs or cats) transferred to rescues and other groups and 85 adopted. The number of animals returned to owners (36) was just below those euthanized (47).
Fix West Texas and Whisker & Tails accounted for 67 transfers (or 63.8% of all transfers) during the month of November.
The monthly live release rate was 78%. The live release rate this year is 74%.
