The City of Midland Engineering Services Department has the following projects under construction. Road closures and traffic alerts for each project are listed below:
Lamesa Road Pedestrian Access Improvement
The Contractor working for the City of Midland is installing sidewalks along the west side of Lamesa Road south of Scharbauer Drive. Lane closures will be used along Lamesa Road between Parker Avenue and Cuthbert Avenue. All properties adjacent to the work zone will remain accessible.
COMPASS: City-Wide Paving:
The Contractor working for the City of Midland will continue construction of sidewalk and drainage improvements along Idlewilde Drive east of Bush Elementary School the week of November 18. In addition, the Contractor is rough grading Stokes Avenue east of Big Spring Street. Stokes Avenue is closed between Rankin Highway and South Main Street. Belmont Street and Colorado Street is closed between Gist Avenue and Wolcott Avenue. The streets will remain closed to thru traffic during construction.
