MAIN BREAK CAUSES ISSUES AT WADLEY-WARD

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- An outside contractor struck a 24-inch concrete water main at Wadley Avenue and Ward Street on Friday, June 7, 2024, causing a main break, which will result in a partial road closure in central Midland until the emergency repair is made.
Water customers in this area should not be affected, but we will keep the public updated with changes. The public is advised to avoid the area until the fix is complete. One westbound and two eastbound lanes on Wadley will be maintained until the repair is completed.
A stretch of Ward Street immediately north of Wadley Avenue also will be closed. Those traveling south on Ward toward Wadley will have to use a road to go east or west toward Garfield Street or Midkiff Road.
