MIDLAND FD BATTLES FIRE IN THE COUNTY

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The Midland Fire Department responded to a fire in the 3700 block of West County Road 104 around 3:32 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024.
“According to the Midland County Fire Marshal, it appears the fire was started by welders,” MFD reported.
Large railroad ties and tires caught on fire, and MFD also reported that Greenwood and Northeast Volunteer Fire Departments assisted with fire operations.
Also, MFD officials stated one Midland firefighter was injured and transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
