EZ-Rider bus system in Midland tops 10,000 riders again

EZ-RIDER REPORTS 10,000-PLUS RIDERS IN MIDLAND IN TWO OF THE LAST THREE MONTHS

(Feb. 2, 2026)

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The Midland-Odessa Urban Transit District, which operates the EZ-Rider bus system, reported 2.6% growth in fixed-route ridership in Midland.

The MOUTD showed ridership climbed to 10,257 in December. That marked the second time in three months fixed-route riders topped the 10,000 mark. The number of riders in Midland was also nearly 15% higher than the number of riders in Odessa during the month.

Also higher was the combined number of riders in Midland and Odessa (21,505).

The City of Midland helps fund EZ-Rider operations.
