Drainage Improvements:
The city is continuing drainage improvements in the north alley of the 5000 block of Rainbow Circle. The alley will be closed to through traffic the remainder of the project.
Briarwood Avenue Paving Project:
Travel lanes have been narrowed and the speed limit through the construction zone has been reduced to 35mph. The traveling public is warned to be cautious while traveling on Briarwood Avenue between Avalon Road and Holiday Hill Road.
Fairgrounds Road Widening Project:
The contractor working for TxDOT on the Fairgrounds Road Widening Project has opened Fairgrounds Road to two-way traffic from Wadley Avenue to Loop 250. Traffic will be constrained to one-way operations from Pecan Avenue to Wadley Avenue.
Utility Extension Program:
The contractor will also be performing work in the area of Fairgrounds Road from the intersection with Pine Avenue and extending north to the intersection with Cynthia Avenue. During construction, there may be temporary lane closures Pine Avenue and Cynthia Avenue.
