  • We will treat the STI with the recommended medication. We also offer testing and treatment for your partners. For a positive HIV result, we will refer you to a local program for HIV assistance or to an HIV physician of your choice.

  • We recommend that you contact your partners if you test positive for an STI. Let the nurse know if you do not feel safe contacting your partners and we will reach out to them anonymously. The Texas Department of State Services will reach out to your partners if you test positive with HIV.

  • Retesting for chlamydia and gonorrhea is recommended no sooner than 3 months. Retesting for syphilis varies and it is best to speak to a nurse/provider to confirm when retesting should be performed.
