MPD: MAN ARRESTED AFTER INCIDENT AT WEST MIDLAND APARTMENT COMPLEX

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- A 33-year-old man was arrested early Friday (May 17, 2024) after allegedly making threats to a woman and three children inside a west Midland apartment complex.
Pete Gonzales was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Family Violence after an incident at Northridge Courts Apartments in the 3400 block of West Wadley Avenue.
Midland Police reported responding to a check welfare call at 3:50 a.m. to the Northridge Court Apartments.
“The female victim reported fleeing her apartment after being threatened with a knife by (Gonzales), who also made threats towards three children still inside the apartment,” MPD reported. “Contact was eventually made with (Gonzales) and after a period of negotiations he finally surrendered.”
