Airline passengers leaving MAF on verge of another record

AIRLINE PASSENGER TOTAL APPEARS SET TO BREAK ANOTHER RECORD

(Sept. 17, 2025)

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The number of passengers flying airlines out of Midland International Air & Space Port is on pace to set another annual record.

City of Midland Airport Department officials reported 704,803 passengers have flown Southwest Airlines, American Eagle, United or Delta out of Midland this fiscal year. That means if September FY 2025 finishes with the same number passengers as September FY 2024, the yearly total will be more than 25,000 ahead of last year’s record total (740,219).

Airport officials showed a 2.09% increase in passengers in August (compared to August 2024) and a 3.71% increase in passengers this fiscal year (compared to the first 11 months of fiscal year 2024).

Parking revenues also have increased. The City of Midland shows more than $739,925 in net parking revenues – an increase of 6.02% compared to August 2024. More than $8.185 million has been collected this fiscal year – an 8.4% increase compared to the first 11 months of fiscal year 2024.
