City of Midland Introduces SeeClickFix and AskJacky: Enhancing Community Engagement and Services

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The City of Midland is excited to announce the launch of two innovative tools designed to improve community engagement and streamline communication with residents. The new citizen reporting platform, SeeClickFix, replaces the old system, offering a more user-friendly and efficient way for residents to report non-emergency issues. In addition, the City has introduced AskJacky, a new website chatbot, to assist residents with inquiries and provide instant information. 

On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the Midland City Council received a presentation about SeeClickFix and Ask Jacky. The launch of both SeeClickFix and Ask Jacky is just the start of improving our customer experience. 

SeeClickFix empowers residents to report issues such as potholes, graffiti, streetlight outages, and more directly from their smartphones or computers. The platform offers several benefits:

Ease of Use: A simple, intuitive interface makes it easy for users of all ages to report problems quickly. 

Real-Time Updates: Residents receive updates on the status of their reports, enhancing transparency and trust. 

Community Mapping: Visual maps allow users to see other reported issues in their area, promoting community awareness and involvement. 

By replacing the old reporting system, SeeClickFix is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and responsiveness of city services. It allows city staff to prioritize and address issues more effectively, ensuring a safer, cleaner, better, Midland. 

We want residents to continue to engage with our city government. SeeClickFix represents a 21st-century solution to help connect the city with its customers. Our hope is that when you see something in the city that needs addressed you SEE it, you CLICK it, and we FIX it.  

Complementing SeeClickFix, AskJacky, the new City of Midland website chatbot, is designed to assist residents with a wide range of inquiries. Whether looking for information on city services, event schedules, or local regulations, AskJacky provides instant, accurate answers. Key features of AskJacky include:

Comprehensive Knowledge Base: The chatbot is equipped with extensive information about city services and resources. Jacky is also continuously learning and improving over time, so the more residents and visitors use her, the more knowledgeable she will become!  

User-Friendly Interaction: AskJacky offers a conversational interface, making it easy for users to find what they need quickly.
