MPD: THIRD DRIVE-BY SHOOTING SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- Midland Police took a third suspect into custody related to the drive-by shooting of a 22-year-old woman from Midland on Oct. 19.
MPD reported Thursday that officers executed search and arrest warrants for 18-year-old Daniel Velasquez earlier in the day in the 3600 block of South County Road 1230.
“The suspect was taken into custody at a residence after he attempted to hide and was covered in sewage,” MPD reported.
Last week, MPD reported Ivan Galindo and Joe-Daniel Gutierrez were arrested for their roles in the shooting of Savanna Callaway of Midland.
MPD is still searching for evidence, and the investigation continues.
