About Us
The Strategic Partnerships Office (SPO) facilitates communication and cooperation between the City of Midland and various federal, state, and local government entities.
SPO’s responsibilities include:
- Monitoring state and federal legislation and policies
- Managing relevant consultant contracts
- Coordinating activities with external parties
This section develops legislative programs, approved by the City Council, to establish our organizational policy priorities. Additionally, SPO supports City Departments with advocacy efforts and fosters the City's involvement in municipal organizations to enhance relationships and safeguard the well-being of our residents. By collaborating closely with the Midland City Council and our state and federal representatives, we aim to be effective and prepared to engage with other government levels. This ensures that the City's interests are protected and promoted through robust intergovernmental relationships.
