DRIVER TAKES OUT SIGNAL POLE AT MIDKIFF AND HAYNES

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Friday (May 2, 2025), a driver struck and knocked down the City’s signal pole at Midkiff Road and Haynes Drive.
The City of Midland installed temporary stop signs that night -- around 2 a.m. -- and returned the next morning to set up a temporary signal. The City is currently coordinating with Oncor to de-energize their overhead line so we can reinstall the permanent signal.
