MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The Midland Fire Department started 2026 with an 8.03% increase in call volume during the month of January.

There were 445 in January compared to 327 in January 2025.
The Midland Fire Department previously reported a 5.6% increase in calls in 2025 compared to 2024.
