The City of Midland and Midland Independent School District are joining efforts to promote a safe school year and encourage student responsibility.
Officials are emphasizing the importance of safe driving among teen drivers, and among all drivers in school zones.
Additionally, they are encouraging clean campuses and a clean community through the “Not In My Town” anti-litter campaign. A joint press conference including Midland Mayor Jerry Morales, MISD Superintendent Dr. Ryder Warren, Midland Police Department Chief Price Robinson, and MISD Police Chief David Colburn will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 29, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center (2300 Butternut Lane).
