[ARCHIVED] Pee Wee Basketball registration now open

Registration is now open for Midland Parks and Recreation Department's Pee Wee Basketball League.

Designed to teach fundamentals to boys and girls ages 4-6, the Pee Wee Basketball League will begin in October. Registration for the league is $25 per child and open from now until Oct. 17 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center (2300 Butternut Ln.). The league is limited to the first 60 registrants and hours of registration are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Games will be held on Saturday morning and practice will be one evening per week for an hour. Registration includes five guaranteed games, a t-shirt and award. Volunteer coaches are still needed and must be good with children and have basic basketball knowledge.
