Midland police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person dead.
Midland Police and Fire Departments responded at approximately 3:47 a.m. Monday to the 500 block of South Carver and found 27-year-old Humberto Joshua Ramos lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Humberto was transported to Midland Memorial where he later died during surgery.
An investigation revealed that the shooting is possibly connected to a drug-related dispute. Detectives are interviewing witnesses to gather more information on possible suspects.
Ramos’ body has been sent to Tarrant County for an autopsy and next of kin has been notified.
