The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $3,768,959.
This month's figure reflects a 13.61 percent increase, or a $451,389 increase, from December 2014.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2014-2015 is up 18.05 percent, or a $1,849,049 increase, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $12,090,631.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; December collection is based on October sales.
