[ARCHIVED] MPD to hold public viewing of recovered stolen property

The Midland Police Department will give citizens an opportunity to retrieve stolen property through a public viewing from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, May 11 at the Police and Communications Center (600 N. Loraine St.).

The items were recovered by the MPD property crimes unit and were most likely taken during home burglaries in Midland and Odessa over the last four months. Purses, watches, costume jewelry and more are among the items included in the viewing.

Anyone wishing to view the items must have the corresponding case report number from MPD or the Odessa Police Department along with a valid driver’s license. Any individual who does not yet have a case number but has been a victim of theft may contact MPD at 432-685-7108 to file a report.
