Two men and one woman are facing multiple charges in relation to producing counterfeit currency.
Scott Orson, 48, Nancy Baeza, 30, and Leonard Ramos, 35, all of Midland, were arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity by forgery. Ramos is facing an additional charge of forgery after presenting a falsified identification card.
Midland Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspects’ vehicle near Frances Avenue and Garfield Street. The individuals were found in possession of equipment commonly used to produce counterfeit currency. Officers also found methamphetamine in the vehicle.
All three individuals were booked in the Midland County Detention Center and more charges are pending.
