The Midland Police Department has arrested a Midland man in connection to an aggravated robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon.
Jared Denton, 34, is facing an aggravated robbery charge after attempting to rob a pharmacy of narcotics.
MPD responded to Albertson’s (3217 N. Midland Dr.) where a clerk told officers a man presented a note at the pharmacy that threatened the safety of employees and others in the store if they did not provide him with narcotics. He then lifted his shirt to display a gun. The clerk went to the back and upon return found that the man had left.
Midland Crime Stoppers received a tip that identified Denton as the suspect. He was located at his residence and eventually confessed while being interviewed by detectives. Denton has been transported to the Midland County Detention Center for booking.
