[ARCHIVED] MPD accepting block party registrations for National Night Out

The Midland Police Department is now accepting registration forms for National Night Out.

MPD will host National Night on Tuesday, Oct. 6 and this is the first year the event will be held in the fall to coincide with Texas Night Out. National Night Out is a program that brings residents and local law enforcement together to take a stand against crime in the community. MPD officers will be visiting neighborhood block parties to interact with citizens and to provide tips on maintaining safe communities.

Any individual interested in hosting a block party can download a registration form at www.midlandtexas.gov or contact the MPD Community Relations Division at 432-685-7582 for more information. The deadline to register is Monday, Sept. 28.
