The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $3,109,015.
This month's figure reflects a 15.18 percent decrease, or a $556,259 decrease, from September 2014.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2014-2015 is up 2.76 percent, or a $1,196,918 increase, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $44,575,741.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; September collection is based on July sales.###
