The City of Midland Parks and Recreation Division is now taking applications for the 2015-2016 Midland Youth Advisory Council.
The goal of the youth council is to define specific ways to address community issues as they arise through the development of goals and objectives and recommended actions. Youth council members encourage and promote the education of youth regarding city government and the importance of citizen input, participation, and responsibility.
In addition to serving as youth ambassadors for the City of Midland, Midland Youth Advisory Council also works on projects and hosts events throughout the year to benefit local non-profits. Students must live in Midland to apply.
