Officials at Midland International Airport are urging passengers to plan to arrive 90 minutes before departure times this holiday season.
Several passengers are already missing flights at the airport on a daily basis due to high passenger traffic volumes during the holidays. Parking can also be limited during this time of year, so officials ask that you allow extra time to walk from the parking lot.
Midland International Airport does not have a Priority Passenger Lane, meaning all passengers are required to wait in one line. Many flights are booked with a mixture of business and pleasure travelers who may not be experienced with checkpoint rules; this could slow the process further.
Give yourself plenty of time to check your bags and get through the security checkpoint, and check www.tsa.gov for a list of prohibited items.
