The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $4,425,128.
This month's figure reflects a 10.21 percent decrease, or a $502,989 decrease, from February 2015.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2015-2016 is down 19.26 percent, or a $3,990,445 decrease, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $20,722,527.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; February collection is based on December sales.###
