Midland police have charged four suspects in connection to an attempted burglary that occurred in the 1700 block of East Golf Course Road on Aug. 22.
On Aug. 23, MPD posted a video of surveillance footage from an attempted burglary on Aug. 22 to their Facebook account. A tip received through Crime Stoppers that evening led MPD to the location of one suspect who was arrested on an unrelated charge and identified as 17-year-old Qurtez Wallace. Wallace was wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue shorts, and didn’t have his face covered in the video.
On Aug. 24 the Odessa Police Department announced they had charged five suspects, including Wallace, for a series of robberies that occurred earlier in Odessa. The OPD assisted the MPD in identifying the remaining three suspects in the surveillance footage. They were identified as 17-year-old Ezekiel Jones, wearing the gray/black hoodie, purple/white bandana, and black shorts, 17-year-old Desmond Haynes, wearing the long sleeve shirt, long pants, and a baseball cap, and 17-year-old Abraham Romero, wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, khaki shorts, and a white face mask.
The investigation is ongoing.
