The Midland Police Department will welcome several new officers during a swearing-in ceremony at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 in the third floor classroom of the Midland Police Department (601 N. Loraine).
Graduates will move on to the Field Training Officer (FTO) program as Probationary Police Officers (PPO) for 18 weeks. During this time, they are teamed up with experienced officers and are rated daily on their performance in the field as well as paperwork.
