The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $3,076,676.
This month's figure reflects a 16.74 percent decrease, or a $618,445 decrease, from November 2015.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2016-2017 is down 16.05 percent, or a $1,073,457 decrease, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $5,615,061.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; November collection is based on September sales.###
