The City of Midland's current outdoor watering schedule allows residents and businesses to water twice per week. Residents are asked to avoid watering in the heat of the day when watering is least effective due to wind and evaporation.
- Even numbered addresses may water outdoors on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
- Odd numbered addresses may water outdoors on Fridays and Tuesdays.
Violations could result in a fine up to $500.
Midland is currently contracted to use surface water sources owned by the Colorado River Municipal Water District. These sources have depleted due to the drought and evaporation. The addition of groundwater from T-Bar and Clearwater Ranches since 2012 has secured many decades of more water for Midlanders, but residents are still advised to care for these precious resources by conserving water when possible.
