The City of Midland has collected this month's revenue from the State Comptroller's Office. The total amount of revenue received was $4,458,867.
This month's figure reflects a 25.82 percent increase ($914,990 increase) from September 2017.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2017-2018 is up 36.4 percent ($13,642,236 increase) from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $51,117,653.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; September collection is based on July sales. The City’s fiscal year runs from October through the following September.
